Wonderfully absurd reflections of the world define the work of the artist and illustrator Cristina Guitian. Fascinated by scale, Cristina works in extremes – from small drawings to massive mural-installations. Her line drawings accompanied with minimal colour palette result in uplifting, playful images that celebrate individuality and evolution. More recently Cristina has expanded into sculpture. After years of collecting found objects, they have become the subject for her creations. By re-assembling, combining with broken taxidermy and carving into wood, Cristina revives the objects with new meaning. Cristina has exhibited in London, Tokyo, New York, Amsterdam and Barcelona.
