Monika Mitkute’s creativity was influenced by her architect grandfather. After finishing art college in Kaunas, Lithuania, she moved to Ireland in 2006. She took the decision to become a full time artist / illustrator in 2015. Nature and whimsy are the themes which influence her intricate black and white work. The artwork she creates is full of stories and memories from long lost folktales.
