more

FL@33 is a multi-disciplinary design studio for visual communication, established in London in 2001 and led by co-founding Creative Director Tomi Vollauschek. The studio works with businesses, cultural and educational institutions, and individuals on visual identities, publications and communication across print and digital media.

Its award-winning, internationally published work spans typography, image-making and editorial design, from logos and identity systems to books, packaging, websites, moving image and exhibition graphics. FL@33 brings together collaborators according to each project’s needs, with commissioned work alongside self-initiated projects and publications.

Alongside leading FL@33 and Stereohype, Tomi teaches visual communication at BA and Master level, lectures internationally and runs workshops, including ‘Personal Project and the Power of Three’. His practice also encompasses writing, publishing, curation and developing graphic-art products.

A FL@33 monograph (Design & Designer 033 – FL@33) was published in 2005 by Pyramyd. FL@33's Tomi Vollauschek also authored and designed three books that were published under the FL@33 imprint worldwide by Laurence King and partner publishers: Postcard (2008), Made & Sold: Toys, T-Shirts, Prints, Zines and Other Stuff (2009) and The 3D Type Book (2011). In the same year FL@33’s popular online sound collection project bzzzpeek.com was exhibited in New York's Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). FL@33’s co-founders also self-published the widely acclaimed Trans-form magazine (2001) and the tenth anniversary book and exhibition catalogue Stereohype 2004–2014, which Tomi conceived, compiled and designed.
