All Stereohype button badges available at stereohype.com are classic high quality one inch (25mm) metal back badges with so-called D-pin. Tiny stickers at the back mention the artist, release date, series number, etc. The growing collection of these mobile mini canvases – featuring over 1,700 individual designs by over 600 international graphic designers, illustrators, photographers and artists – consists of all B.I.O. (By Invitation Only) contributions, winners of Stereohype's annual button badge design competition and additional series such as the special collaborations: AFOMFS Series, MICA Series, 10x10 Series and Emoji Series. Dan's button badge artworks where created by physically holding a white circular paper mask over existing collages. He then took pictures of his selected details. Collages are based on a series of originally rectangular collages Dan worked on at the time titled Information May Have Been Lost (IMHBL).

Dan Fern is an award-winning graphic artist and an influential teacher. A graduate of the Royal College of Art in London, Fern was appointed Professor Emeritus at the RCA following a long career as Head of the School of Communications. He has worked extensively across all areas of visual communication; his commissioned graphic works have been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in Kyoto, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, Amsterdam's Stedelijk Museum, the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelona, the Smithsonian Institute in New York and London's Victoria and Albert Museum.
Since the mid 90's Dan Fern has also worked in video, producing films in collaboration with musicians for performance at the South Bank Centre in London, the Bath International Music Festival, the City of London Festival and the Hamburg Philharmonie. Alongside his successful career as a commercial graphic artist, Fern has regularly exhibited non-commissioned, self-authored work in galleries in London and overseas. With a long-standing interest in mountaineering, Dan Fern's work as an artist has been focused on the landscape of SE France, where he has a studio. A 200-page monograph of Dan Fern's work from 1996-2017, titled 'On the Horizon' was published in November 2018.
