Small stickers on the reverse provide details such as the artist’s name, release date and series number. This growing collection of mobile mini canvases includes more than 1,700 individual designs by over 650 graphic designers, illustrators, photographers and artists from around the world. It brings together all contributions to the FL@33 / Tomi Vollauschek-curated B.I.O. David Henckel is a contemporary audio-visual artist, experienced in leading complex public art projects which involve multiple partners. He works with emerging and established artists, local communities, commercial organisations and civic institutions to produce immersive installations and experiences. He has a multi-disciplinary practice often creating work which fuses Science, politics of space, the nature of sound, community engagement and the audience as players within the work.

These custom emoji artworks originally featured in the FL@33-designed book The Story of Emoji by Gavin Lucas (Prestel Publishing, March 2016). If you could create a new emoji, what would it be? Gavin Lucas asked a number of image-makers from around the world to design new emoji characters they wish really existed. Book contributions were submitted just before iOS 9 was released (which also included the 'Metal Fingers' / 'Devil's Horns' emoji addition). One day soon – hopefully – all these bespoke emoji suggestions will be included... This one inch (25mm) button badge series is a collaboration between Stereohype, Gavin Lucas and the selected emoji contributors Ali Graham, Crispin Finn, David Henckel, FL@33, Friso Blankevoort, Hey Studio, Jan Kallwejt, Julian Morey, Liza Nelson, Lucy Vigrass, Matt Chase, Matthew Bromley, Mr Bingo, Nick Shea, Noma Bar, Peskimo, Richard Hogg, Rob Flowers, Serge Seidlitz, Tane Williams and TwoPoints.
