Shortlist
(roughly in alphabetical order)
This time we had 236 accepted entries from about 100 international individuals/studios/collectives!
The 27 judges had to select their three favourite single badges and three
favourite sets of three. Between the judges – and let's not forget
that we were only after a total of 20 potentially winning designs –
a whopping 125 designs did score points! But in the end it was once again
the usual head to head race and every single vote counted. Hopefully we
did not have any ties in the top positions and the winners could be allocated
without flipping coins.
Stereohype would like to thank everybody for their submissions! It has
once again been a tough decision for the entire judging panel. This year's
winners are from Belgium, Hungary (two Hungarian winners are apparently even from the same college), Italy, Russia, United
Kingdom and USA.
The winners are:
1st prize (single badge): totwo
1st prize (set of 3): Tunde Varga
2nd prize (single badge): Germana Giorno
2nd prize (set of 3): Gergo Gilicze
3rd prize (single badge): Gudrun Makelberge
3rd prize (set of 3): Jacqueline Bos
4th prize (single badge): Fay Newman
4th prize (set of 3): Nick Street
Special Stereohype Prize (single badge): Thom Lambert
Special Stereohype Prize (set of 3): Pamela Cocconi
(prizes)
Congratulations also to all the runners-up who made it into the
shortlist of 56! The 20 winning badges are now available for
purchase. The others have not been produced by us but will stay online
to give credit to everybody who made it into the shortlist.
In addition to everybody on the shortlist we also feel we should
mention a few intriguing designs that would have made lovely badges.
Unfortunately they did not score enough points this time but all of them
got at least two votes each (some even got the full three points by one
of the judges). A big hands down for (in no particular order): Arctic Radio, Bobina aka Maria_Piccinini, Christian Bailey, Chris Jeffreys, Helen Mycroft, Janos Koros, JJJunio, Maria Beltran, Rafael Farias, Raphael Mahon, Raquel Jauregui, Viola Wang...
And last but not least a big THANK YOU goes once again
to the nice people from the judging panel who helped us so much!
