designed by Megumu Kasuga
Megumu Kasuga studied Graphic Design (BA) in Tokyo, Tokyo Gakugei University.
He then went on to study on the Royal College of Art's (RCA) post-graduate Communication
Art and Design course, London, where he graduated in July 2001. During
his last year at the RCA the design collective YiELD was born. Its international
members work for clients in Europe and Japan. Megumu lives and works in Tokyo.
Megumu recently gained further recognition when a 'one to watch' article on his
work was published in Creative Review 12.2004. Megumu also designed the front
and back cover of the same issue.
From 'Growth', a series of images based on the idea of nuclear weapons featuring
his bicycle chain typeface 'Links' to create the illustrations. 'Links' and the
'Growth' illustrations were first exhibited at the RCA graduation show 2001 where
an extremely small print-run of screenprinted posters was available.
The artworks have finally been made available again by stereohype.com and are
now exposed onto exclusive matt photographic material.
