'Slowly Spreading' is a sequence, with button number one only having
half the ornaments, and the ornaments in button two are slowly spreading the
medium. Then, the ornaments in button number three are all over the medium. The
artworks I sent to Stereohype are all made by hand. I first drew them on paper
with a small point pen, and scanned it to computer. I then readjust them a little
with photoshop so it will look more proper. After that, I arranged the layout
based on Stereohype's file specifications so it will look good as a button.
Hello, my name is Wanda Kamarga. I was born in Bandung, Indonesia in 1984. I
was raised in Jakarta and had been living there since. My mom used to design
for garments when I was a kid, therefore patterns and colors have influenced
me since. The patterns I draw are heavily influenced by Asian patterns,
mostly the one that came from my country, which is Batik. Other things that I
love and keep inspiring me are things from the past mainly the 60s and 70s, music,
flowers and ornaments, eastern studies (mainly Indonesian), and delicious food.
Right now I am on my final year majoring visual communication design in Universitas
Pelita Harapan - Karawaci, Indonesia. I love designing and thinking about strategies
of how to communicate visually to the mass. In my spare time, when I'm not hooked
up with all those wonderful social network sites, I draw things that I love –
which are mostly pattern and colors, and develop my new portfolio site.
