Bzzzpeek.com is presenting a collection of 'onomatopoeia' from around the world using sound recordings from native speakers imitating the sounds of mainly animals and vehicles. This project focuses on the pronunciation and comparison of these sounds by presenting them side by side as each language expresses them differently. Bzzzpeek.com is an interactive experience inviting everybody to contribute. Submissions are more than welcome!

Agathe Jacquillat and Tomi Vollauschek from London-based graphic design studio FL@33 launched this self-initiated online project in 2002. Since then the project has won many awards including an Honorary Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica 2003, a Distinctive Merit Award from the ADC New York and Gold at the 2004 Construction New Media Award, besides many others. The project was featured and reviewed in countless books, magazines and websites around the world. The latest high profile bzzzpeek article was published in new york times and re-printed in nyt supplements worldwide back in June 2005, followed by Radio interviews for NPR and BBC World, Boston.

This new T-shirt series is designed to help finance this hugely popular project and pay towards the out-of-control server costs generated by up to 15.000 unique visitors per day (usually approx. 2.000 unique visitors/day) generating up to 6 gigabyte of traffic every single day! Thank you!
