designed by Karen Jane

Following her love of buying records, the featured badge is an inspired pastiche of an old 'Give the gift of music' sticker that used to appear on 12" wax.

Karen Jane studied Art, Design & Communications at Winchester School of Art, Brighton University and also at The Royal College of Art, London - in that order. Since graduating from the RCA in 2002, she has worked in varied roles including commercially as a Senior Designer & Art Director; independently as a commercial artist; as a visiting lecturer of graphic communication; and as a collaborator in group projects and exhibitions.

Her work has been featured in many publications including a profile in Graphic 03 magazine and most recently in Die Gestalten Verlag's 'Introducing' book. Karen was also the designer responsible for designing the identity for 'Young Bond' earlier this year. An interest in identity and subcultural creativity are large elements that fuel both KJ's commissioned and self-initiated projects, where her own bespoke typography often plays a big part.
