Selected international designers, illustrators and artists have been invited to submit one to four designs for this one inch (25mm) button badge series. Stereohype sells 'B.I.O. series 1' badges separately and gives them away as a free surprise badge with purchased stereohype T-shirts. The 'B.I.O. series 1' includes artworks by Alice Brun-Ney, Ange Hayward @ Danger UK, Daniel Koh @ Amateur Provokateur, Elisabeth Lecourt, FL@33, Fred Frei, Happypets, Jody Barton, Marie O'Connor @ Peepshow, Megumu Kasuga @ YiELD, Michael C. Place @ Build, Tom Gauld, Patrick Duffy and Yorgo Tloupas @ Intersection magazine. Released: November 2004.

Tom Gauld is an illustrator and comic book artist. He grew up in Scotland and now lives and works in London.  He has written and illustrated the comics 'Guardians of the Kingdom' and 'Three very small Comics' as well as producing comic stories and illustrations for various publications including The Guardian, The Independent and The New Yorker. He runs Cabanon Press with Simone Lia, together they created the comics 'First' and 'Second' which were republished as 'Both' by Bloomsbury.
