to submit one to four designs for this one inch (25mm) button badge series.
Stereohype sells 'B.I.O. series 10' badges separately and gives them away
as a free surprise badge with purchased stereohype T-shirts. The 'B.I.O.
series 10' includes artworks by Al Heighton, Catherine Dixon, Cristina Guitian, FL@33, Gregori Saavedra, Lawrence Zeegen, Nazario Graziano, Stefan G. Bucher, Strange Attractors Design, Tamar Moshkovitz, Thom Lambert and unfolded. Released: September 2011.

Ryan Pescatore Frisk (USA, 1977) and Catelijne van Middelkoop (NL, 1975) are the founding partners of Strange Attractors Design (2001), an international studio located in Rotterdam and New York, which creates innovative ideas and solutions to influence culture and commerce.
Pescatore Frisk received a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, an M.F.A. in 2D Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art and an M.A. in Typography and Type Design from the KABK/Royal Academy of Art.
Van Middelkoop is on the national board of directors of the BNO (Association of Dutch Designers), and has an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art (2D Design), a Degree in Graphic & Typographic Design from The Royal Academy of Art and a propedeuse in Art History and Archeology from The University of Amsterdam.
As active design researchers and educators Ryan and Catelijne have given workshops and lectures in cities worldwide including Moscow, Prague, Katowice, Berlin, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Eindhoven, New York, and Chicago. Pescatore Frisk and Van Middelkoop both teach in the ‘Man + Communication Department’ of the renowned Design Academy in Eindhoven and the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, The Netherlands.
The work of Strange Attractors has been published in numerous books and periodicals including TDC and ADC annuals, Contemporary Graphic Design (TASCHEN), Area 2 (Phaidon) and is part of the permanent collection of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam.
Strange Attractors received the Jury Prize as well as a ‘Gold’ in the category 'Brand Implementation' at the European Design Awards 2010 and a ‘Silver European Design Award’ in the category 'Artistic Catalogues' in 2011. In 2007 Strange Attractors was one of the nominees for the Rotterdam Design Prize. The studio was also nominated for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2007 and the Dutch Design Prizes in 2003. The studio received a Red Dot Award for High Quality Communication Design in 2006 and their work was Judge's choice in TDC2 2004 & TDC53, included in ADC Young Guns 4 and ID Magazine's ‘ID Forty’ of 2006.
